Another Trip to New York

Friday we got up at 0530 to drive to Burlington, Vt and catch a ferry to Port Kent, New York.

We had hoped for a nice sunny day, but that was not to happen.

The ferry trip takes an hour each way (give or take a little) and was smoother than the trip we had taken earlier from Charlotte, Vt to Essex, NY.

Here are a few pictures I took while we waited to board the ferry...

You can see a hint of color even though it is cloudy

The water where we are is about 350 feet deep!

Port Kent, NY...not much at the dock

It was a fun day all in all, nice and cool (in the 50's).  We'll try this again next year.

That's it for now.

More later this week - especially if we get the 1 1/2" of snow Thursday night.

Take care...Karen
